Mission and Strategic Goals

The mission of the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences is to promote and conduct interdisciplinary research that examines methods of prevention, intervention, and recovery associated with disabilities and chronic disease that limit a person's ability to engage in meaningful personal, community, recreational, and vocational activities.

The goals of the Center are to:

  • Promote research in all areas of rehabilitation and disability

  • Facilitate faculty development and opportunities for collaborative scholarship in rehabilitation science and disability

  • Establish support services that encourage rehabilitation research and scholarship
