Dr. Abbey B. Berenson, director of UTMB’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Women’s Health, announced the agency’s approval of the first three scholars in the university’s institutes-funded research training program, Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH). They are assistant geriatrics professor Dr. Quynh Bui, assistant rheumatology professor Dr. Tracy Nguyen-Oghalai and family medicine clinical assistant professor Dr. Navkiran Shokar. They will begin the program Wednesday.
