GALVESTON, Texas ? The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is relocating several clinics to better meet the needs of patients. The moves will allow the clinics to maximize available resources including equipment, exam rooms and staff, according to Karen Sexton, vice president and chief executive officer of UTMB hospitals and clinics.

“Though the moves will require some adjustments by both our patients and staff, we feel this will give us the best opportunity to provide the highest quality of care to our patients now and into the future,” Sexton said.

Relocation information for each clinic is as follows:

• The pain clinic has moved to the sixth floor of the UTMB University Hospital Clinics building. For more information, call (409) 772-5809.
• The neurosurgery clinic will begin receiving patients in its new location on the sixth floor of the UTMB University Hospital Clinics building Sept. 25. For more information, call (409) 747-7001.
• The cardiothoracic surgery clinic will begin receiving patients in its new location on the sixth floor of the UTMB University Hospital Clinics building Sept. 25. For more information, call (409) 772-7320.  
• The neurology clinic will begin receiving patients in its new location on the sixth floor of the UTMB University Hospital Clinics building Oct. 2. For more information, call (409) 772-7370.
• The electromyography clinic will begin receiving patients in its new location on the sixth floor of the UTMB University Hospital Clinics building Oct. 2. For more information, call (409) 772-6796.
• The geriatrics clinic has moved to Suite 107 in the UTMB Primary Care Pavilion. Patients will use entrance A to get to the clinic. For more information, call (409) 772-3373.
• The urogynecology clinic has moved to the fifth floor of the UTMB University Hospital Clinics building. For more information, call (409) 772-7225.
• The wound care clinic will begin receiving patients in its new location on the second floor of the UTMB Rebecca Sealy Hospital Oct. 3. For more information, call (409) 772-7400.
