– UTMB has received $1.05 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to implement a school-based health relationship program for teens in Houston-area schools. UTMB’s Jeff Temple is principal investigator for the project
– Five UTMB researches have received grants from the UT System Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Institute
– UTMB’s Physician Healer track is building empathy and compassion into the medical school curriculum. The track is taught alongside other medical school courses
– Women who give birth in rural hospitals are more likely to be readmitted, according to a study co-written by researchers at UTMB
– Four UTMB researchers, Kathryn Cunningham, Scott Weaver, Stanley Watowich and Premkumar Christadoss are the 2015 financial awardees of the UTMB Technology Commercialization Program.
