UTMB’s Dr. Victor Sierpina and Chair of Family Medicine Dr. Barbara Thompson, recently met with visiting Chinese physicians, fellows and administrators to discuss American Health Care. Speaking honestly, they informed the visitors that the system is broken. According to Sierpina, we must shift the discussion from payment and insurance to the real topic, the health of Americans.
