Officials: Texas has much work to do to create Zika virus test many pregnant women will want

At a recent meeting of the Texas Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response, members said there is still much work to do to develop a test that can teel a person with no active Zika symptoms whether they contracted the virus in the past 12 weeks. UTMB’s James Le Duc is a member of the 31-person task force.
