A team of UTMB researchers looked at how testosterone might protect the heart from chemotherapy damage. UTMB’s Albert Chamberlain said these results were positive but follow up investigations are still needed. Chamberlain said testosterone “might also have rehabilitation implications and make patients better surgical candidates.”
