A nearly $1.5 million grant will support a program to give new moms the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine when they bring their newborn to a doctor’s appointment. “The postpartum period is a great opportunity for catch-up vaccination,” said UTMB’s Abbey Berenson. “Moms are already likely to be interacting with the medical system many times.
