The 20th annual American Heart Association Gala sponsored by UTMB was held September 17, at Moody Gardens with more than 300 in attendance. Gala attendees were rapt as survivors shared their stories. Research at UTMB is being conducted to find new cures and treatments for heart disease and stroke patients. The gala was chaired by UTMB’s Annette Macias-Hoag and co-chaired by Christine Wade.
