The antidepressant drug bupropion is able to cross the placenta of pregnant women, according to the latest research from UTMB’s Valentina M. Fokina. The consequences of fetal exposure to the drug and its active metabolites “are yet to be determined” according to the study published in the October issue of the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
