As public health officials continue to deal with the spread of Zika a new UTMB study finds that one of their biggest challenges is a knowledge gap. According to the study, many women still do not know they are at risk for infection or how to protect themselves. According to UTMB’s Abbey Berenson, findings from the study also indicate that in addition to mosquitoes many women do not know Zika is sexually transmittable.
