UTMB earns Baby-Friendly status

UTMB has been designated a Baby-Friendly birth facility from Baby Friendly USA, one of 529 such facilities in the country. Facilities receive Baby-Friendly status for providing mothers with the information, confidence and skills necessary to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies. The initiative is a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund.  Guidry News and Press Release Point also reported this news.
