In this week’s column, the scientists explain tiny sensors that can be stuck to a tooth and wirelessly send data about what a person consumes to a mobile device. The sensors act much like a highway toll collection device transmitting data via a radio frequency signal. They have the potential to monitor everything that a person eats, drinks or smokes.
