Area emergency rooms struggling with increased demand

Local coverage of long wait times being reported in local emergency rooms. Interviewed for the story, UTMB Katrina Lambrecht said it is one of many reasons that UTMB recently opened the new Clear Lake campus. “There are always going to be environmental factors, ebbs and flows in terms of value,” Lambrecht said. “But much like with inpatient beds, we feel there is additional need for emergency rooms.” [See the attached file for the full text of the story.]
