UTMB's new biocontainment care unit is prepared for the next Ebola outbreak

UTMB’s recently opened biocontainment unit is the focus of this article from the Texas Medical Center. The unit has six specially outfitted rooms where patients exposed to highly infectious diseases such as Ebola can receive treatment. “We’re part of a network of care providers who know how to do this and are willing to do this,” said UTMB’s Susan McClellan, the unit’s medical director.
