Statistics show that women are almost twice as likely as men to have symptoms of depression, according to the U.S. Office on Women’s Health. Contributing to the story, UTMB’s Jeff Temple said, “ Women are more likely to experience negative events like sexual assaults, are more likely at home to be victims of gender-based violence, are more likely to be caregivers, and at work they’re paid less and expected to do more, all while experiencing things like sexual harassment at higher rates.” Yahoo! News and ABC News Radio also reported this story.
