Taylor, 33, was one of 15 people, seven from Baytown or surrounding communities, killed in the March 23, 2005 explosion at the BP refinery in Texas City. On Thursday, the sisters were among several relatives and survivors of the tragedy who attended a press conference announcing a $12.5 million donation to the University of Texas Medical Branch’s Truman G.
