UTMB ranks 10th in Texas for giving March 5, 2007 Galveston County Daily News, March 4, 2007 GALVESTON - The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston ranked 10th among Texas universities for the amount of funds contributed by private donors for its support in 2006, according to a national survey conducted by the Council for Aid to Education. Contributors made commitments of $54 million, including $36 million in cash to UTMB in 2006. UTMB was ranked 12th in 2005. "UTMB is proud to be an institution worthy of such support," said Susan Coulter, vice president for the Office of University Advancement.
