Daylight Savings switch stokes fears March 9, 2007 Galveston County Daily News, March 9, 2007 GALVESTON - The four weeks added to Daylight Saving Time, which begins Sunday, is expected to create clock glitches that could upset unprotected computer systems - a problem that reminds some people of Y2K. "I know there are a lot of people saying that, but the level of change is just not the same," said Todd Leach, director of operations for the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. "It has, however, created a considerable amount of work. Most of our infrastructure staff that maintains media equipment has applied the fixes that have been recommended."
