Galveston County Daily News, March 13, 2007 GALVESTON - The Oceans of Opportunities Job Fair brought in 913 job seekers on Feb. 27. That number increased by 29 percent from last year's job fair. "The job fair was awesome and a great success," said Doug Matthews, director of external affairs at UTMB and one of the partners who helped in the job fair planning. "It is unbelievable that we had more than 900 job seekers. It demonstrates that there was a need and it was addressed. It gave the employers and job seekers an opportunity to connect."
