Orange County News, March 21, 2007 Philanthropist and breast cancer survivor, Sallye Keith, and committed volunteer and prostate cancer survivor, R. O. Williams, Jr. will be honored at the Julie Rogers Gift of Life Program's second Champagne and Ribs "Party of the Year" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Cowboy Harley-Davidson in Beaumont. The Gift of Life is a nonprofit organization serving all of Southeast Texas. Operating for almost 13 years, the agency is dedicated to decreasing the incidence of death associated with breast and prostate cancer. Its mission is accomplished through provision of free mammography and prostate cancer screenings for people of limited financial means who are uninsured and underinsured, along with access to treatment and follow-up care through a referral link with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston; and conducting extensive community educational outreach.
