KPRC (NBC) Channel 2-Houston, April 20, 2007 TEXAS CITY - Nearly 100 contract workers at the BP Texas City plant were hospitalized after they suddenly became ill on Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported. BP officials said the workers suddenly became nauseous and had eye irritation while they were performing repair and upgrade work on the oil-processing Pipestill 3B unit at about 9:30 p.m. About 50 workers were taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and the rest were transported to Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.
