Galveston County Daily News, April 23, 2007 GALVESTON - The Galveston Relay for Life is looking for walkers to raise funds for cancer research. The relay is scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Moody Gardens. Sponsored in part by the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Sealy Center for Cancer Cell Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, the relay is an opportunity for Galveston community members to recognize cancer survivors and remember loved ones while raising funds to support cancer research and prevention measures.
