Callender, the lone finalist for president of the University of Texas Medical Branch. We hope people in the community will attend. We've said this before: UTMB is vitally important to Galveston County. It's the largest employer in the county and a major provider of health care. For some, it's the only provider. It has been facing extraordinarily difficult and complex financial problems. We hope community leaders will take the opportunity to hear what the person who will be leading this institution has to say.
