Galveston County Daily News, May 5, 2007 Letters to the Editor The Department of Pediatrics joins with the community in giving Dr. Lukefahr our thanks for many years of excellent service and dedication in working with the community in the challenging professional area of child maltreatment.  We would also like to announce that Dr. Bill Noble, a longtime member of UTMB's Department of Pediatrics and previous consultant to the county for Child Maltreatment, will be assuming the interim role of leading the ABC program and assuring that services are seamlessly provided to these children and their families, as well as the many agencies that are involved in these cases. He has many established ties within our community and a long history of excellence in patient care. We join the many members of the community in wishing Dr. Lukefahr and his family all our best wishes for his future as he embarks into the next phase of his career. Dr. Lawrence R.
