Channel 2 News Houston, May 21, 2007 HOUSTON -- A man and a woman were rescued from a grounded boat in Galveston Bay early Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported. U.S. Coast Guard officials said they received a call for assistance from the boat west of the Causeway Bridge in Galveston Bay shortly after 2:30 a.m. The 58-year-old man, who is diabetic and has a heart condition, said he wanted off the boat, officials said. A helicopter crew rescued the couple. They were taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch for evaluation.
