They include: Kim Bottomly, deputy provost for science, technology and faculty development at Yale University, has been named president of Wellesley College. David L. Callender, associate vice chancellor and chief executive officer of the University of California at Los Angeles Hospital System, has been selected as president of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Desdemona Cardoza, professor of psychology and dean of the College of Natural and Social Sciences at California State University at Los Angeles, has been promoted to provost and vice president for academic affairs.
