San Antonio Business Journal May 22, 2007 SAN ANTONIO -- The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio bestowed more doctor of medicine degrees to Hispanics in 2006 than any other medical school in the country. That's according to the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics as published in the May 2007 edition of The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education. The Health Science Center School of Medicine awarded 34 degrees to Hispanic students. The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston tied at second with 28 graduates.
