Anderson, dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, received a lifetime achievement award at the 78th annual joint meeting of the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists/Texas Section ACOG in Houston Before being appointed dean in October, Anderson led UTMB's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for 17 years. Anderson is a "Texas Super Doc" as named by Texas Monthly magazine, and has been named to the list of Best Doctors in America.
