San Angelo News, May 29, 2007 SAN ANGELO -- As the 2006-07 school year is coming to an end, you, the readers, are making my job a little easier. I have received so many submissions highlighting the accomplishments of area and local students. Thank you so much for your submissions - I couldn't do it without you. And now the latest list of honors: Phillip E. Balfanz of San Angelo will earn a medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston on June 2. He graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1998, and from Angelo State University in 2003. Balfanz is the son of Ken and Tita Balfanz of Waco.
