Rush Record, energy lawyer, neuroscience advocate May 30, 2007 Houston Chronicle, May 30, 2007 HOUSTON- Rush H. Record, a staunch advocate for neuroscience research and a high-powered partner at the Vinson & Elkins law firm, died Friday. He was 89. Record was a "lawyer's lawyer" at the law firm, where he specialized in energy transactions. In addition to his law practice, Rush was a champion for neuroscience research. Record and his wife, Helen, were the driving forces behind the Rush and Helen Record Neuroscience Forum at Baylor College of Medicine, an annual retreat for the college's neuroscience department members. He also served on the Texas Board of Mental Health and Mental Retardation and the President's Cabinet and Development Board at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. « Back | The Newsroom »
