Galveston County Daily News, June 11, 2007 By Cathy Gillentine TEXAS CITY -- Last week we were talking about a survey taken among the people of Texas City. I was a willing participant, one among 2,733. How they arrived at that number, I don't know. They probably picked a bigger number and that's what eventually was shaken out. The results were published in a brochure, which came through the mail and also in a press release from University of Texas Medical Branch. According to the brochure, they plan to conduct follow-up interviews, so maybe somebody else will come knocking at my door. The original interviewer did come to my house, sat down at my dining table and proceeded to ask me lots and lots and lots of questions. I don't know how many. Hundreds. I also went to a clinic set up at Danforth to have blood tests. A lot of the questions were about how I felt about my health, did I consider myself in good health, and was my mental health OK, and on and on.
