GALVESTON, Texas — Residents of Galveston County are invited to nominate a nurse for the Sixth Annual Silent Angel Award. The Nurse Week Task Force at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston sponsors the award. Nurses Week is observed nationally and locally the week of May 6-12.
The Silent Angel Award honors a licensed nurse in Galveston County whose compassion, caring and advocacy made a difference in the life of a patient, family or friend. Nominations should include the name of the nurse, a description of the nurse’s contribution and the name of the nominator. The deadline for nominations is April 21.
