Times-Picayune, Thursday, June 28, 2007 Barbara Mollere Doucet, a Luling native, was awarded a doctor of philosophy degree in kinesiology/human movement science from the University of Texas during commencement May 19 in Austin. Doucet, a 1979 graduate of Hahnville High School, received a bachelor of science degree in occupational therapy in 1984 and a master's of health science in allied health education in 1996, both from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. After completing her master's degree, she began an academic teaching career. She has held faculty positions at several universities, including LSU Health Science Center, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Read more . . .
