GALVESTON, Texas — Senior Services at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is hosting a free panel presentation in Texas City and Santa Fe in May. Speakers and their topics are Dr. Patrice Barnum, “The Aging Body;” Dr. Deepti Mishra, “Tips for Staying Healthy as you Age;” and Dr. Charanjeev Mann, “Health Maintenance.” The presentation is part of the Circle of Life … Transitions lecture series for seniors and family members. The speakers are assistant professors in geriatrics at UTMB.
The presentations are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. For those who register, a box lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. There is no charge for lunch. Here is the schedule:
- Wednesday, May 10, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 13136 Hwy. 6, in Santa Fe
- Wednesday, May 17, First Baptist Church, 1400 Ninth Ave. North, in Texas City
