For immediate release: July. 2, 2007 GALVESTON, Texas - Health education classes for adults with diabetes are scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. July 11 and July 18 at the 4Cs Clinic at the Galveston Island Community Center, 4700 Broadway Blvd. The classes are free and open to the public. Titled "Motivation and Empowerment for Diabetics the Occupational Way," the group sessions focus on meal preparation, routine planning, physical activity, diabetic management and life coaching. Students from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston who are earning advanced degrees in occupational therapy will conduct the sessions.
