American Society for Therapeutic Radiology And Oncology announces 2007 fellows July 16, 2007 Medical News Today, July 14, 2007 The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) is pleased to announce its 2007 class of ASTRO Fellows. These 40 distinguished members will receive their awards at a special ceremony during the 49th Annual Meeting to be held October 28 through November 1, 2007, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles. The nominations were reviewed by a nine-member Fellows Selection Committee who made recommendations to the ASTRO Board of Directors to make the final decision. One of the ASTRO fellows is James A. Belli, M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch. ASTRO is the largest radiation oncology society in the world, with nearly 9,000 members who specialize in treating patients with radiation therapies.
