GALVESTON, Texas — The sixth annual Aerospace Medicine Golf Tournament hosted by the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston will be held April 10 at the Magnolia Creek Golf Links in League City.
Proceeds will support the education of future aerospace medicine physicians at UTMB Galveston benefiting the community in several ways including improving access to space for humans and providing for the health and safety of humans in space. UTMB has one of only two civilian aerospace medicine residency programs in the country. The UTMB program is a joint program with the NASA-Johnson Space Center. Graduates of the UTMB aerospace medicine residency program have gone on to work as flight physicians at NASA, the U.S. military and the airline industry.
Registration begins at noon on Monday, April 10, at the Magnolia Creek Golf Links. Shotgun start is at 1 p.m.
The event includes lunch, green fees, golf cart, range balls, gift bag, first, second and third place prizes, on-course competitions, silent auction and 19th hole reception.
