Houston Chronicle, Aug. 27, 2007 Jeanette Winfree, a Galveston physical therapist who was one of the first women in the nation to open a private practice, has died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 69.  A 1961 UTMB graduate, Winfree was a leader in many advances in physical therapy, colleagues said.
