A&M's activity in Round Rock comes as the University of Texas discusses the possibility of starting its own medical school at its home campus, just 15 miles to the south. James Huffines, chairman of the UT System Board of Regents, made his interest in an Austin medical school known when he was elected chairman by fellow regents in 2004.
