Galveston County Daily News, Sept. 12, 2007 A $1.6 million grant from the Welch Foundation to a coalition of six Gulf Coast institutions, including UTMB, will be used to launch an initiative to develop innovative techniques to speed development of new drugs and molecular tools. UTMB's Scott R. Gilbertson is the project's principal investigator.
