GALVESTON, Texas - Take Action, a diabetes self-management program offered by the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, will start its next series of classes on Tuesday, Nov. 6. (more)
Take Action is a series of classes that focus on seven diabetes self-care behaviors endorsed by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, including healthy eating, physical activity, monitoring, taking medication, solving problems and healthy coping.
The classes will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rosenberg Library, 2310 Sealy St., in Galveston. The first meeting is scheduled for Nov. 6 in the Randall Room. The remaining meetings - on Nov. 13, 27, Dec. 4, 11 and 18 - will be held in the McCullough Room.
