East Texas Review (Longview), Oct. 24, 2007 Dr. Howard Brody, director of UTMB's Institute for the Medical Humanities, warned hospitals not to shift abruptly from telling someone that everything is OK to warning that further treatment will not work in a discussion of health care providers' obligations to the dying. Brody spoke at the Texas Hospital Association's Annual Leadership Conference held Oct. 15-16 in Austin.
