GALVESTON, Texas - "Managing Negativity ... in Self and Others" is the topic of a free presentation scheduled for November in Texas City and Galveston by the Senior Services Office at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Annette Martinez, a specialist with UTMB's Human Resources Department employee assistance program, is the speaker.

The presentation is part of the Circle of Life lecture series for older adults. The presentation is open to anyone regardless of age.

The seminars are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. For those who register, a box lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. There is no charge for lunch. Here is the schedule:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 14, at First United Methodist Church, 317 Fifth Ave. N., in Texas City.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 28, at West Point Baptist Church, 3003 Avenue M., in Galveston.
