Houston Chronicle Bay Area, Nov. 22, 2007 The School of Nursing at UTMB has received $500,000 from the University of Texas System to expand its nursing simulation center. Also noted: researcher Irina A. Pikuleva received a four-year, $1.2 million grant from the National Eye Institute; UTMB hosted a televised lecture to start a collaboration with Brazil; the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences is offering a clinical science doctoral and master's program; and UTMB cafeterias have started a "bring your own cup" program to reduce the use of disposable cups.
