Science Daily, Dec. 7, 2007 Researchers from UTMB are among a number of scientists who will take part in the International Center for Indigenous Phytotherapy Studies, a collaborative research effort between the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. UTMB researchers will focus on artemisia afra, which is widely used to treat respiratory infections. There is evidence suggesting that A. afra might be useful in treating tuberculosis.
