GALVESTON, Texas -Elizabeth Protas, interim dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, will present 93 degrees to graduating students at the SAHS winter commencement ceremony at 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14, in Levin Hall Auditorium.

Charlotte Tate, dean of the College of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will give the commencement address titled "A few thoughts from someone that needs you."

Protas will preside over the ceremony with Dr. David L. Callender, UTMB president. They will confer 46 master's degrees in physical therapy; 40 master's degrees in physician assistant studies; two Bachelor of Science degrees in respiratory care and five Bachelor of Science degrees in clinical laboratory sciences.
