Texas Lawyer, Dec. 31, 2007 After spending a week in contemplative silence at a retreat in South Texas in 2003, Jennifer Klein decided to leave her firm in Austin, give up the trappings of a lawyer lifestyle - the house she always wanted and the fancy vehicle - and devote her life to a music ministry. While Klein continues with her music and her church work, she also volunteers at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where she shares her music with patients and their families. Klein says she is putting her energy toward establishing a music program at UTMB, because she believes it helps the healing process and helps comfort people.
