Houston Chronicle Bay Area, March 6, 2008 Entries are being accepted for the Youth Conservation Art Contest sponsored by UTMB. The 14th annual Galveston County Health Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Academy Sports & Outdoors, in Galveston. Four new pediatric specialists recently joined the faculty at the Children's Hospital, including Dr. Shivaiah Balachandra, nephrology; Dr. Amalia Geller, neurology; Dr. Purushothaman Madhu, general inpatient pediatrics; and Dr. William Mize, adolescent and behavioral health. UTMB has received a multi-year, $250,000 contribution from ConocoPhillips to support the expansion of the Truman G. Blocker Burn Unit. Dr. Karen Dineen Wagner, vice chairwoman of the department of psychiatry, is a co-author of a study in the Feb. 27 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
