Houston Business Journal, March 28, 2008 On the fifth anniversary of the war in Iraq, the U.S. Department of Defense has awarded an unusually large $33.6 million grant to a consortium of Houston-based medical research institutions, including UTMB, for a five-year research project focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of mild traumatic brain injury.
